“O how you have fallen from heaven, you light bearer.”

(Isaiah 14:12, NWT 1984, Footnote)

Isaiah chapter 14 tells about the fall of the King of Babylon. But it is also addressed to someone else, to “the spirit creature whom the king of Babylon represented, namely, Satan the Devil.” (Then is Finished The Mystery of God, page 333) Verse 12 calls him “shining one,” the Latin Vulgate uses the name “Lucifer.” Accordingly “’Lucifer’ … is generally understood to refer to Satan the Devil.” – The Watchtower, March 15, 1967, page 181.

A question of concern to true Christians is certainly, Who is the Greater Lucifer? This can be derived from the name itself, for “the word ‘Lucifer’ is Latin and means … ‘light bearer.’” (Walk in Truth; Isaiah 14:12, NWT 1984, Footnote) So, without any doubt, the Greater Lucifer are “Jehovah’s Witnesses, the modern light bearers.” (The Watchtower, May 1, 1993, page 12) “Like their father, Satan,” who “keeps disguising himself as an angel of light,” they too have used the “[Watchtower] magazine … as the primary channel for dispensing increased light.” (2 Corinthians 11:14; The Watchtower, April 15, 2009, page 6; April 15, 2010, page 109) “We must avoid this Satanic propaganda, these ‘unclean … expressions inspired by demons.” – 1997 Yearbook of Jehovah’s Witnesses, page 255.

“So now we can tell who are children of God and who are children of the devil.”

(1 John 3:10, NLT)

Since “Satan often pretends to be “an angel of light,” it is not always easy to distinct the worship of Jehovah from the worship of Satan. (The Watchtower, August 1, 1991, page 9) However, the well-known Awake! magazine named a unique feature that helps us unequivocally identify worshippers of Satan, that is: “It is the belief of Satan worshipers that the Devil rules the world.” (Awake!, October 22, 1989, page 6) To whom does this apply today?

Jehovah’s Witnesses make no secret of their opinion “that Satan is the ruler of this world.” (What Does the Bible Really Teach?, page 31) They confess outright: “Satan the Devil is the ruler of this wicked world.” (The Watchtower, February 1, 2009, page 8) Yes, it is Jehovah’s Witnesses who believe that “the Devil rules this world.” (The Watchtower, October 15, 2005, page 29) Thus it is evident that they are “Satan worshippers.”

“If anyone comes to me and does not hate his … brothers … he cannot be my disciple.”

(Luke 14:26)

According to Joseph F. Rutherford there were “three great persons” at the beginning of creation: “Jehovah the Father, and the Logos and Lucifer his sons.” (Deliverance, page 5) So Jesus (also called “the word” or “the logos”) and Satan (Lucifer) were brothers. (John 1:1) While on earth, Jesus never concealed his hate for his brother – when Satan wanted to talk to him, Jesus snarled at his brother: “Go away, Satan!” (Matthew 4:10) Since then, Jesus dreams of bringing “destruction over Satan.” – Insight on the Scriptures, volume I, page 12.

Hating his brother that much, it is no wonder that Jesus demands the same hate from his disciples. He made hating one’s brothers an inevitable requirement for Christians. (Luke 14:26) What does that tell about him? The apostle John had a clear opinion on people like Jesus and his disciples: “Whoever does not do what is right is not of God, especially the one who does not love his brother.” (1 John 3:10, HCSB) God wants us to “love our brothers from the heart,” but Jesus wants us to hate them. (The Watchtower, August 1, 1973, page 467) Can there be a greater contradiction? There can be no doubt that Jesus was one of the “false teachers” who would “bring in destructive sects” as foretold by the apostle Peter. – 2 Peter 2:1.

“The anger of Jehovah was kindled …

… against Israel, and he moved David against them, saying, Go, number Israel and Judah.” (2 Samuel 24:1, ASV)

King David conducted a fatal census which caused much suffering among the Israelites. According to the inspired account in 2 Samuel 24:1, it was Jehovah who incited him to do it. (NWT 1984, Footnote; NIV; NLT; ESV; KJV; HCSB; ISV; GWT; WEB) But the later parallel account says clearly: “Satan stood up against Israel and incited David to number Israel.” (1 Chronicles 21:1) Does this mean that Jehovah and Satan are the same person?

Apparently they are. But of course, for true Christians the Bible is not the decisive factor; rather their teachings are based solely on the publications of the Watchtower Society. These confirm the identification of Jehovah with Satan, for they say that “Jehovah God, the Greater Pharaoh, is Universal Sovereign.” (Survival Into a New Earth, page 79; see also The Watchtower, May 1, 1987, page 19) But it’s also out of the question that “the Greater Pharaoh [is] Satan the Devil.” – The Watchtower, September 1, 1989, page 15; August 1, 1970, page 463.

The reference work Insight on the Scriptures summarizes the evidence: ”Some commentators consider that the one … who incited David to take the census was Jehovah … Such a viewpoint could be harmonized with the view that Satan … incited David.” (volume II, page 765) What does that mean for us? “We need to abandon … the antitypical ‘Pharaoh the king of Egypt and … Jehovah’s organization … Once we have got out from under the visible organization of God … we should not again resort to it for aid and protection.” – The Watchtower, May 15, 1977, page 313.

“There was a dense darkness …

… in all the land of Egypt for three Days … and none of them got up from where they were for three days.” (Exodus 10:22, 23)

In our time there is no literal darkness anymore, but also “today it is not Pharaoh who is ruler … [but] Jehovah God, the Greater Pharaoh.” (Survival Into a New Earth, page 79) Accordingly the “darkness” does not come upon Pharaoh’s people, the Egyptians, but upon Jehovah’s people. This happens every year during the “three-day district conventions, organized by Jehovah’s Witnesses.” (The Watchtower, July 1, 2007, page 7) Like the Egyptians, Jehovah’s Witnesses do not ‘get up from where they are for three days’ because “getting up unnecessarily” and “moving about unnecessarily” is prohibited. – Exodus 10:23; Our Kingdom Ministry, February 1988, page 7; May 1993, page 6.

Some may object and say that at these conventions there is not “darkness” but rather “brighter light.” (The Watchtower, September 15, 2011, page 14) But the prophet Isaiah already warned against “those who are putting darkness for light.” (Isaiah 5:20, NWT 1984) And “Satan … put forth error … as a substitute for truth. In other words, he put darkness for light. Interestingly, it was regarding life, saying that Eve would not die but would continue to live in the flesh on earth if she did as he suggested. He promised her increased enlightenment.” – The Watchtower, May 15, 1976, page 304.

So Jehovah’s Witnesses follow Satan’s example. They too keep saying that their followers “would not die but would continue to live in the flesh on earth” if they follow the Watchtower doctrines. This started as early as 1918 with the discourse “Millions now living will never die!” and continues to this day. (Jehovah’s Witnesses – Proclaimers of God’s Kingdom, page 425) Like the devil, they ‘promise increased enlightenment’ in the form of “accurate knowledge of God’s purpose.” (The Watchtower, September 1, 2009, page 6) But in actual fact, their conventions are “a dense [spiritual] darkness!”

“Clouds and thick gloom are all around him.”

(Psalm 97:2)

The Bible urges us to “search for Jehovah.” (Psalm 105:4) Where can we find him? “Clouds and thick gloom are all around him,” said the psalmist. (Psalm 97:2) “Jehovah said he would reside in the thick gloom,” that’s why “he … covered himself in darkness.” (1 Kings 8:12; Psalm 18:11) So it’s beyond question that God can be found only in the darkness.

But not everyone wants us to come closer to God. For example, the Watchtower “magazine has long been used by ‘the faithful and discreet slave’ as the primary channel for dispensing increased light.” (The Watchtower, April 15, 2010, page 10) This “slave” even demands “appreciation for the increased light” of his followers, though this alienates them from God. (The Watchtower, May 15, 1995, page 26) “By the ever-increasing light” he brings Jehovah’s Witnesses ever closer to Satan, the “angel of light.” – 2 Corinthians 11:14; The Watchtower, April 15, 1953, page 231.

“If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God.”

(1 John 4:15, NIV)

Who was the apostle John talking about? Shortly after Jesus’ baptism, “the devil took him to the Holy City and … told Jesus, ‘Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down.’” (Matthew 4:5, 6, ISV) Jesus later cured the sick in Capernaum, so that “demons also came out of many, crying out and saying: ‘You are the Son of God.’” (Luke 4:41) Almost 2000 years after these events, Pope Francis confirmed “that Jesus is the Son of God” in a letter to “Eugenio Scalfari … and non-believers.” – Zenit.org.

Satan, the demons, and the pope acknowledged that Jesus is the Son of God. And the Bible’s statement is clear: “Whoever acknowledges that Jesus is God’s Son, God remains in union with such one and he in union with God.” (1 John 4:15) “If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God.” (NIV) Hence, God is in Satan, God is in the demons, and God is in the pope. Satan, the demons and the pope are “in God”, and they all are “in union.” Is that not wonderful?
